Two former Bayern coaches are fighting for the finals!
This Wednesday evening, Carlo Ancelotti (62) with Real Madrid meets Pep Guardiola (51) and Manchester City in the semi-final second leg of the Champions League. Kick-off is at 9 p.m. City narrowly won the first leg 4:3. But Real coach Ancelotti announced directly: “We are still in the race! We need to improve defensively, but I think we have the quality to cause problems for our opponents in the second leg.” The second leg will be a hit live on TV from DAZN (ad) transfer. Here you can find out what alternative options are available.
For the second leg, Real Madrid is relying primarily on the support of the fans at their home Bernabéu. “You should get ready because we’re going to fight for another magical night,” says Ancelotti. His side have shot up in form: Los Blancos beat Espanyol Barcelona 4-0 on Saturday and then celebrated the championship.
But City also won 4-0 at Leeds United last weekend. Coach Pep Guardiola warns once morest arrogance and refers in particular to the impressive backdrop in Madrid: “The result doesn’t matter. Even if we were 2-0 or 3-0 up, we would have to go to the Bernabéu and play well. Because either you are yourself there, or you have no option.” That promises another offensive firework in the second leg!
