In the same Champions League group as Young Boys, Manchester City took the best 3-1 victory over Red Star Belgrade not without having missed a half.

With Manuel Akanji, spared and entered in the 58th minute, Pepe Guardiola’s players erased an anomaly in the second period. Largely dominant, the Mancuniens were nevertheless trailing 1-0 at the break despite twenty-one shots to one in their favor. The Serbs used their only shot on goal of the first half to open the scoring through Bukari who went on the edge of offside. But Juan Alvarez, on a good night, turned the game around in less than 15 minutes. His second goal from a free kick owes a lot to a blunder by goalkeeper Glazer, excellent until then. Rodri added to the score with a fine goal.

For its part, PSG ended up getting the better of Borussia Dortmund (2-0). The Parisians found the breach through Kylian Mbappé who converted a penalty following a hand fault from Sule (49th). Then at the end of a great one-two action with Vitinha, Achraf Hekimi left Swiss goalkeeper Gregor Kobel (58th) no chance.

In the same group, AC Milan dominated Newcastle, but had to settle for a draw (0-0) in front of their home crowd which saw French goalkeeper Mike Maignan go out injured.

Three days following its rout once morest Inter (5-1) in the Madonnina derby, AC Milan has not really reassured its supporters. In added time, Newcastle, with Fabian Schär in central defense, came close to pulling off a resounding hold-up when Matty Longstaff’s shot was slammed over his crossbar by replacement goalkeeper Marco Sportiello.

In Group H, Barcelona did not do half-heartedly once morest Royal Antwerp (5-0). The Catalans were already leading 3-0 following 22 minutes of play with successes from Joao Felix, Robert Lewandowski and an autogoal from Bataille. Gavi and Felix added to the score in the second half.

In Group E, Lazio snatched a draw (1-1) at the last second of added time with a goal… from goalkeeper Ivan Provedel. The Italian goalkeeper at the forefront deflected a cross from Luis Alberto (95th) with his head.
