FC Barcelona almost have their ticket to the final of the Women’s Champions League in their pocket. The trophy holders outclassed Wolfsburg 5-1 in front of the 91,648 spectators at Camp Nou (a new record for a women’s club match) in the semi-final first leg.
Established within the blaugrana attack, the Swiss international Ana-Maria Crnogorcevic was replaced in the 74th minute. However, she did not find the net, the Catalan goals having been signed Aitana Bonmati (3rd), Caroline Hansen (10th), Jenifer Hermoso (33rd) and Alexia Putellas (38th and 85th).
The return match will be played on Saturday April 30 in Germany. The second semi-final first leg will pit Lyon once morest Paris St-Germain on Sunday, with another Swiss striker, Ramona Bachmann.
