The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is organizing a 50-over ODI Champions Cup on the style of the PSL to introduce modern cricket and eliminate the obsolescence of the current system. The said cup will be played from September 12 to September 29 at the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad.
Iqbal Stadium was inaugurated in 1978 as the most modern stadium in Pakistan but over time this important ground was neglected.
