Chamber: “Coordinator in Energy”
 – 2024-07-27 10:21:59

Speaking to Peloponnisos FM 104.1, Theodoros Louloudis and Dimos Varvitsiotis spoke yesterday about the need for an open and modern Chamber that would take coordination initiatives, but also transfer requests and claims to the central government of the country, and on energy issues.

The conversation was done as part of the “Small Talks” vidcast series and the second, in his capacity as the general director of operations of the energy group “Solar Cells Hellas Group”, spoke about the dizzying pace of technology development and the entry of artificial intelligence into our lives, stating, among other things, the following:Geographically, Patras is a transit hub for networks and it should also be an energy hub. An open Chamber is required, which will be initiated by the coordinator. Now, there are tools to do this easily and honestly. It is necessary, at the same time, to transfer requirements to a central level. The cost of energy production in BIP is huge. Why not push for a natural gas network to come to our BIPE? Why shouldn’t the support for drilling in the Ionian Sea from the port of Patras proceed?”

The publisher of “Peloponnisos” and candidate for president of the Chamber of Achaia Th. Louloudis stated the following: “Major energy roads pass through our area. The big question is whether from this de facto geographical position, Achaia can further benefit or the networks will simply pass? Will we find local unity to harness our power? Will we form our general vision so that we claim what we should, when the situation also helps? Monasteries of Achaia spotted opportunitieswhich the local political staff did not claim! The Chamber has so far either simply watched or issued wishy-washy press releases, instead of playing a coordinating role, claiming faster and more substantial solutions for its members in Achaia”.
