Several minors have had to be hospitalized in different cities of Colombia, due to a challenge between adolescents in which they take Viagra with soft drinks and the authorities alert the parents.
One of the most worrying cases occurred when 20 minors arrived at the Pío X Hospital in La Tebaida, Quindío following 15 of them apparently ingested a sexual enhancer with a soft drink.
The remaining five present a nervous shock due to what happened with their companions, who remain under medical observation.
The 20 minors were affected by carrying out a challenge on social networks consisting of consuming Viagra with juice or soda. Hospital manager Dr. Leonardo Quiceno confirmed to Blu Radio the care of minors in the medical center
“Children from this Antonio Nariño educational institution began to arrive, saying that they had consumed Viagra with soda. Initially there were seven minors, but ten more arrived with anxiety crises when seeing their classmates like this, “said the doctor.
Now the health authorities in Quindío are evaluating the circumstances in which the intoxication of the seven minors was recorded and the situation that would be occurring in La Tebaida, since in the last 24 hours, three other minors had been treated in the same hospital, Pius X, for taking viagra with juice.
Another case
Three boys and a girl between the ages of 12 and 15 were intoxicated at the Juan B. Padilla school in Juan de Acosta, in the Atlantic area, following they drank a soda that had half a Viagra pill mixed in during recess.
The drink was supplied to them by a group of classmates who decided to play a prank on them, as they had seen some viral challenges on social networks that they wanted to replicate at school.
What the Secretary of Health of Juan de Acosta, Iván Sánchez, assures in this regard is that the emergency might have been worse, since even one of these minors required medical attention because he presented a tachycardia picture.
“If they had added the whole pill and consumed the liquid, the side effects might have been a little worse. Even the mother of a child stated that her son had tachycardia, ”said Sánchez.
In this regard, the rector of the institution Vanessa Beleños stated that the minors involved in the alleged prank were suspended while the investigations into the case progress. She added that the school coexistence committee will determine the sanction for these.
“We are investigating the case. It seems that a student who brought a pill and added it to a drink. We are doing the proper subpoenas and interviewing students. The coexistence committee is the one who meets to determine the levels of involvement of each of the students in the event. It seems that they did it as a joke, “said the teacher.
Also in Cucuta
Thirteen students from the San Bartolomé school, located in the Juan Atalaya citadel, west of Cúcuta, ingested Viagra as part of a viral challenge among adolescents in the city, and are in a clinic following presenting symptoms such as tachycardia.
The Atalaya school and polyclinic, where the affected students were sent, have not commented on the state of health of the young people, but Blu Radio was able to confirm that they are stable and under medical observation.
Apparently, the students, between 14 and 15 years old in the ninth grade, at break time mixed passion fruit juice with Viagra and began to feel bad, so they notified the teachers who took them to the polyclinic.
The Secretary of Health of Cúcuta already knows the situation and will provide more details of what happened.
