Challenge is that preventive medicine has a place in people: Epidemiologist

The challenge that we see within this commitment is that preventive medicine has a place in people, commented epidemiologist José Manuel Hurtado Capetillo, who was appointed by the Universidad Veracruzana as the new coordinator of the Center for Health Studies and Services (CESS). .

In an interview for XEU News, the epidemiologist explained that with preventive medicine people can have check-ups, even if they don’t feel bad.

“We have nutritionists, dentists, chemists, nurses, medical personnel and soon we will have physical education personnel, on whom we are going to work directly on the first health problems we have.”

He stressed that they are not a clinic that competes with someone, but a health clinic “whose function is to ensure the health of both university students and the population of Veracruz and that is our challenge that we have.”

On the other hand, he recalled that the Center for Health Studies and Services of the Universidad Veracruzana is a health care clinic and that it is located between Carmen Serdán and Francisco Javier Mina streets, just behind the Veracruz Regional Hospital.

He reported that from seven in the morning to eight at night, they provide medical care.
