Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Barrister Gohar Khan has said that he will not boycott the election under any circumstances. Our request is to give us general election symbols. We will also fight with the U-18 and U-19 teams, not giving them an open ground.
After the meeting with the PTI founder, PTI chairman said that the meeting with the PTI founder took place on the orders of the Islamabad High Court.
He said that there has been an initial consultation on the matter of tickets, after 2 days of consultation the process will be completed and the tickets will be finalized.
He said that election is an important process, participation of parties in free and fair process is necessary. The nomination papers of most of our candidates were rejected.
He reiterated once again that if the judiciary does not restore our party symbol, we will contest elections on any symbol. He said that on February 8, our opponents will be defeated and PTI will win.
Barrister Gauhar said that the Supreme Court has observed that the elections will be held on February 8. The judiciary is requested that it is your role.
He said that if a party is singled out, democracy will be damaged. Those who held a press conference against the party will not be considered for tickets.
Barrister Gauhar said that he will not boycott the election in any case, he has applied in the Supreme Court, requesting that a level playing field be given.
Chairman PTI said that Maulana’s party is not the country’s party, his party remained till KP and Balochistan. Maulana’s seats are not in Punjab and Sindh.
Barrister Gauhar said that we have no position that the election should be postponed in any case. I pray that the elections will be conducted smoothly and peacefully.
He said that if there is no trust in the system, then it has to be, because we have to fight the election. We have 70% popularity.
He raised the question that how can a government which comes into the category of horse trading deliver? A government formed by horse trading can never stabilize the country.
Chairman PTI said that it is your responsibility to conduct free and fair elections to the Election Commission. In such a situation, the election will be held, but what will happen afterwards?
Barrister Gauhar Khan also said that our request is to give us the general election symbol. Not all our candidates should be independent.
