Beijing, March 5, 2023 (Archyde.com) /PRNewswire/ – A proposal by members of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Congress (CPPCC), the country’s top political advisory body, called for efforts to consolidate poverty alleviation results through rural revitalization.

Wang commended the progress the advisory body has made over the five-year term and promised new contributions for the future.

In the past five years, a total of 29,323 proposals were submitted by members of the CPPCC National Committee and 23,818 were filed, said Shao Hong, vice chairman of the 13th CPPCC National Committee, at the opening session on Saturday.
By the end of February this year, 99.8 percent had been processed, Shao said.
After in-depth consultations with relevant parties, the CPPCC has expressed many of these suggestions in policy planning and actions.
The benefits and role of the CPPCC’s proposals in developing people’s democracy in China as a whole and promoting the country’s economic and social development have been fully realized, Shao added.
