MONTRÉAL – On the occasion of its return to the MLS regular season, CF Montreal faces the New England Revolution this Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Stade Saputo (MLS Season Pass, RDS, TSN, BPM Sports, TSN 690).
After being eliminated from the Leagues Cup by the Philadelphia Union in the round of 16, Laurent Courtois’s team returns to action in MLS against the Revolution, 15th in the Eastern Conference. The Bleu-blanc-noir (11th, 27 points) will try to improve its position in the standings with nine games to play this season.
Montreal holds a 13-15-3 record (42 goals scored, 46 goals allowed) against the Revolution. At home against the Revs, the Bleu-blanc-noir has a record of 8-7-2 (29 goals scored, 24 goals allowed).
Captain Samuel Piette is just one game away from his 200th with CF Montreal in all competitions. The Quebec native recently passed Evan Bush for the most MLS games played in Club history and will become only the second player in Club history since 2012 to play 200 or more games in all competitions. Piette will sit 9th in all competitions for CF Montreal.
The game also coincides with the annual Pride Night at Stade Saputo. The national anthems will be performed by Charles Kardos, a member of the LGBTQ+ community and winner of La Voix Junior. In addition, local artist Kezna will create a special mural for the occasion in section 131 of Stade Saputo.
