In an interview with the Colombian media “Vbar de Caracol Radio”, Farías commented that he would like to lead Independiente de Santa Fe, a team that was in tenth position in the Colombian league, but still has a chance of qualifying for the round of 16 of the South American Cup.

“Santa Fe is a great South America, it is not just any team. He has been champion of South America and in Colombia. When I started in the Venezuelan team, I went several times because Luisma (Seijas) was there, then I faced them in Cerro Porteño and The Stronguest, recalled the Venezuelan technical director.

“Of course it is desirable to go to Colombian soccer and I would love to lead Santa Fe, that does not mean that they have called me,” Farías clarified. The recent interest from the Colombian club comes following the DT was fired by Aucas from Ecuador following being sanctioned with a 14-month suspension for assaulting two players from the rival team.

However, according to the media “Fútbolred”, Cesar Farías would not be in the orbit of the cardinal’s directive, especially “due to his immense salary that makes it impossible to start negotiating.”
