A Samsung announced this Monday (8) the first projector with 8K resolution in the world. The device was presented by the South Korean company at Consumer Eletronics Show (CES) 2024 with advanced specifications and focus on the premium segment. In addition to the high image quality, the device also has a screen that can be adjusted from 12 to 150 inches.
This is not the company’s first projector, but it innovates by delivering Premiere 8K resolution and brightness of up to 4,000 lumens, allowing you to view the video even in well-lit places. There are also some other highlights, such as connectivity through technology Wireless One Connect Box which allows you to transmit content in an area of up to 10 meters.

In terms of sound quality, The device delivers an output of 100 Watts of power and supports Dolby Atmos, a mode that enhances sound nuances in compatible titles. As the manufacturer highlights, the projector also features Sound-on-Screen which promises to create a “true cinema experience in your living room”.
A photo shared by the Engadget portal shows the look of the back of the projector, indicating that its style was designed to be discreet and serve as a decorative item. Samsung did not reveal any further details regarding price and availability, but this and other information is expected to be released by the company in the coming weeks.
In addition to the new 8K projector, the Asian giant also took advantage of its participation in the event to officially launch the Premiere 5, its latest triple laser UST projector. The brand claims that this is the “most compact UST projector in the world”, with specifications that deliver a lot of brightness and quality, highlighting the automatic focus and alignment feature.
The display area varies between 17 and 100 inches, allowing it to be used in different situations and environments, such as in the living room, bedrooms or outside the house, for example. Pricing and availability have also not been confirmed.
