While some studios make a name for themselves through their own production, others can make a name for themselves in support. This is the case of Certain Affinity, which notably helped in the development of Halo 2, Doom, or Call of Duty. In 2020, we learned that Certain Affinity was working on Halo Infinite in partnership with 343 Industries. Earlier this year, insiders Jeff Grubb and then Jez Corden announced that the studio was working on an Xbox exclusive inspired by Monster Hunter : the Project Luck.
A strengthened partnership
After fifteen years of working on the franchise Halo, the Certain Affinity teams have announced that the relationship with 343 Industries will be strengthened. And not for just any project! The studio announces that they have the confidence of the publisher to evolve Halo Infinite.

According to this press release, this would not be a simple support job, but a real evolution of the title. According to renowned insider Jez Corden, this project would be called “Tatanka”, and rumors he’s heard speak of a game mode with elements taken from Battle Royales, like a shrinking arena. Unique elements would set this new mode apart from other competing titles.
