Cerro Porteño suffers too much to advance in the Paraguay Cup

Asuncion, IP Agency.-The Cyclone had to resort to a penalty shootout to defeat the worthy Recoleta and reach the round of 16 of the so-called Tournament for All.

In normal time the match ended 2-2 with goals from Yuneiker Rios and Dionicio Pérez for the team from the middle, Francisco Da Costa equalizing with a double for the blue and red.

In the penalty shoot-out, Manolo Giménez’s team was more effective and ended up winning 5 to 4 and with the right to face Sol de América in the next round.

In another match for the same tournament, Guaireña defeated Martin Ledesma 1-0 and also advanced to the round of 16.
