Assumption.- Cerro Porteño beat Libertad 2-1 in the most attractive of the two games played this Saturday in the first round of the Paraguayan Apertura Tournament. The blue-and-red victory came after overcoming an initial disadvantage. In another game, Sportivo Luqueño, at home, defeated its neighbor General Díaz 1-0.

Cyclone style

Rodrigo López opened the scoring for Defensores del Chaco, and with a header put Libertad ahead in the first minutes of the match. But before the end of the first half, José Ortigoza, from a penalty, established the temporary 1-1 with which they went into the break.

In the second half, Libertad had better control of the ball, but was unable to turn the score around by taking advantage of the ball possession.
