The conflict over the auction of the Neuquén ex-ceramics will add a chapter this Wednesday at 9 when the ceramists demonstrate in the Labor Court No. 1 at 881 Leloir Street. They will demand the suspension of the judicial measure.

According to what they announced, they will ask Judge Hugo Daniel Ferreyra to receive them to present an “agreement signed with the former employers and demand the suspension of the auction of the Industrial Park plant.”

They anticipated that they will mobilize to “advance a solution that allows maintaining the workers’ management, the 80 jobs and at the same time guaranteeing the payment of compensation to former workers.”

They also recalled that there is already an agreement signed with the former employers. It was presented to the Ministry of Economy of the Nation to advance on that path and establishes a subdivision of the property, giving the Confluencia Cooperative the productive warehouse and the rest of the land to the former employers, which as they explain would allow them to “cancel their debts within the bankruptcy, starting with the payment of compensation to former workers.

“If this exit does not advance it is because the former workers’ lawyer, Jorge Brillo, a future official of Rolando Figueroa, opposes them also signing this agreement,” they said in a statement.

“This position of Brillo is incomprehensible, unless behind it is the intention of making a large real estate deal by buying the land at an auction price to sell it later,” they said and assured that the lawyer “does not even care about the compensation of the “former workers, nor that we are left with 80 families on the streets.”
