Zinchenko appeared in an impressive clip, embracing his compatriot Vitaly Mikolenko, Everton’s player, before kick-off at Goodison Park on Saturday evening.
When entering the players, Manchester City players wore shirts with the Ukrainian flag and the words “No to war”, while all Everton players wore the Ukrainian flag, in solidarity with Ukraine in its war with Russia.
A number of fans raised the Ukrainian flags, and anti-war banners, which made Zinchenko cry hysterically before the start of the match.
Zinchenko had posted a picture of Russian President Vladimir Putin through his account on the social networking site “Instagram”, and commented, “I hope you die in the worst possible way, you monster.”
