The women’s team in futsal football defeated the Czech Republic 3-2, at the start of its campaign in the World Championships hosted by Portugal in the cities of Braga and Guimarães.
The World Championship will witness the participation of nine teams, and Lebanon started its campaign in the first group in an exemplary way, before facing the host Portuguese team.
The Lebanese team was able to confirm its superiority over its Czech counterpart over the course of the two halves, ending the first half of the match with a 2-1 lead, before the Czechs managed to equalize the score 2-2, and then the Lebanese women snatched the match points with a goal in the last five minutes.
The three Lebanese goals bore the signatures of Celine Al-Haddad, Hada Ghaddar, and Ren Madi.
