THE Central Lampung Police Narcotics Investigation Unit uncovered an inter-provincial dry marijuana drug distribution network, early Tuesday (2/4). Apart from arresting the two suspects, the police confiscated evidence in the form of 11 kg of marijuana packaged in 11 packages.
Head of Narcotics Research Unit AK Feabo Adigo Mayora Pranata said the two perpetrators, NA (54 years) and ZH (53 years) came from West Java.
The two perpetrators were arrested while crossing the Jalan Lintas Sumatra (Jalinsum) Central Lampung area using a Box Colt Diesel car with registration number B 9149 KXR yellow.
“When the perpetrator’s car was checked, evidence of 11 kilograms of marijuana was found in the car box, stuffed in sacks and plastic,” said Kasat when confirmed. Wednesday, (3/4).
Kasat explained that initially the two perpetrators panicked when asked regarding their need to cross Central Lampung.
“They tried to trick the officers by claiming to be a medical equipment (Alkes) courier from Jakarta. He admitted he was going home and his truck was empty,” he said.

“However, following evidence was found during the search, the perpetrator admitted that all the marijuana was obtained from Solok City and wanted to be sent to Jakarta,” he added.
Now, the two perpetrators and the evidence have been secured at the Central Lampung Police Headquarters for further development.
“We will carry out further investigation and development of this case,” he said.
The perpetrators were charged under Article 114 Paragraph (2) and/or Article 111 paragraph (2) of Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics,” he concluded.
