PEMKAB Kebumen, Central Java (Central Java) has prepared eight buses to transport homecoming travelers from Jakarta to Kebumen. Of the eight buses, five of them were prepared by the district government and the other three from the Central Java Provincial Government.

Regent Arif Sugiyanto said that the free homecoming was intended for underprivileged native Kebumen residents who work in Jakarta.

“This year we are providing eight buses to transport Kebumen residents. Three of the buses are provided by the Central Java Provincial Government. Meanwhile, the Kebumen Regency Government is providing five buses. The capacity of the eight buses is capable of carrying 400 passengers,” said the Regent on Wednesday (3/4).

According to him, the eight buses will depart twice. The first departure on April 6 was three buses. Meanwhile, the second departure on April 7 was five buses.

The Regent hopes that with this free homecoming, people can take advantage of it to gather with family.

Meanwhile, it was reported from Banyumas that there were a number of parties organizing free homecoming. In Banyumas, there will be 25 buses to provide free homecoming services from Jakarta to Bulupitu Purwokerto Terminal. Meanwhile, for free return activities, there are 32 buses.

Head of the Banyumas Transportation Service (Dinhub) Agus Sriyono said there were 32 buses scheduled to enter Bulupitu Terminal, Purwokerto. “There are ministries, provincial government, district government and various agencies that provide free homecoming services,” he explained.

Agus also reminded Banyumas residents who want to go to Jakarta using private vehicles to pay attention to the schedule for implementing one-way vehicle flow on toll roads on April 5-9.

“Special attention is needed regarding planning the departure schedule for Jakarta. If you are not careful, it could happen at the same time as the implementation of one way on toll roads, so you will be forced to take the Jatibarang national road to Jakarta, which is likely to be congested with travelers,” he added.
