The President of the Republic authorized the expenditure, in the global value of Kz 32,537,008,000.00 (thirty-two billion, five hundred and thirty-seven million and eight thousand kwanzas) for the acquisition of 239 vehicles and 60,540 (sixty thousand and five hundred and forty) tablets for the 2024 General Population and Housing Recency
For vehicles, expenditure in the global value of Kz 9,265,808,000.00 (nine billion, two hundred and sixty-five million, eight hundred and eight thousand kwanzas) was authorized. To allow the use of information and communication technology (ICTs), within the scope of the General Population Census, the Government will spend Kz 23,271,200,000.00 (twenty-three billion, two hundred and seventy-one million, two hundred thousand kwanzas), for the purchase of tablets.
The tablets will serve to improve the quality and efficiency levels of census activity, assist in the execution of tasks and respond to requests more quickly. According to Diário da República no. 5/532, I Series, the Government justifies the acquisition of these resources on the basis that statistical operations are complex and expensive.
Government extinguishes EGTI
In the same document, the Government proceeded with the extinction of the Infrastructure Land Management Company (EGTI), as well as the liquidation of its assets in favor of a Liquidation Commission to be appointed by the Minister of Finance, which must also include representatives of the Ministries of Territorial Administration and Public Works, Urban Planning and Housing.
The extinction of the EGTI is part of the State Reform Process and the Resizing of the Public Business Sector, which is why the Government states, in the document, that there are no strategic reasons for its maintenance. EGTI was created with the purpose of providing the public management service, at national level, of infrastructured land in the public and private domain of the State.

Among the various presidential orders, the opening of the limited competition, by prior qualification, for the assignment of the right to exploration and management, with the option to purchase, of industrial units such as the beer factory located in the municipality of Viana stands out. and the car assembly factory, also located in the municipality of Viana. The range of industrial units that can be sold also includes the China International Fund Cement Factory (CIF), located in the municipality of Icolo and Bengo, in Luanda.
