Derrick White was a hero with a field goal with 0.1 seconds remaining to give the Boston Celtics a 104-103 win and a Game 7 win over the Boston Heat. Miami, for a place in the NBA Finals.

The Celtics become the fourth team to win three straight games following being down three games to nil. The three previous teams that managed to force Game 7 have played the ultimate game away, as the Celtics will be back in front of their fans. Boston would be the first team in history to complete such a comeback in NBA history.

Just before the game-winning basket, Jimmy Butler had three free throws to give the Heat a one-point lead with three seconds on the clock.

Boston regained possession with enough time to go for a final shot, which Marcus Smart missed, but White hopped on the rebound for the game-winning field goal with a tenth of a second left in the game.

Jayson Tatum was a big contributor in the win. He finished the game with 31 points on the board, including 25 in the first half. He also had 11 rebounds to score the double.

Another key to the Celtics’ success was Jaylen Brown. The 26-year-old guard also scored twice with 26 points and 10 rebounds. He also had nine of his 16 attempted shots.

Although Butler stood out late in the game, the Heat’s stars had a hard time converting their shots. Butler and Bam Adebayo only blocked nine of their 37 shots in the game. Butler still finished the game close to a hat-trick with 24 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists.

On Adebayo’s side, the match was more difficult. He scored 11 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, but only converted a quarter of his shots.

Caleb Martin then took the reins of the Florida attack in front of the troubles of the two stars of the Heat. The winger finished the game with a brace of 21 points and 15 rebounds.

The Heat are the 151st team to take a 3-0 lead in a best-of-seven series. The previous 150 clubs have all completed the job, but the Celtics have made it clear they have other ideas in mind. Head coach Erik Spoelstra, however, said his flock were far from giving up.

“Nothing has been easy for us this season. We’ll just have to do it the hard way,” he remarked in conference following the game.

The Celtics are 5-0 when facing elimination this season, and 3-0 on the road. They beat Philadelphia twice to erase a 2-3 deficit in their second-round series.

The two teams have an appointment for the ultimate match Monday at the TD Garden in Boston. The winner will face the Denver Nuggets in the Grand Finals which will begin on Thursday.
