Celine Dion: canceling concerts for health reasons

Canadian star Celine Dion announced last weekend that the North American part of her Courage world tour had been canceled due to ongoing health issues.

“I was really hoping to be ready to get back on stage now, but I feel I need to be more patient,” Dion wrote on Twitter.
The singer had postponed several shows due to the pandemic, and had to cancel shows that she was scheduled to perform in Las Vegas between November 2021 and February 2022. She was supposed to resume her tour on the ninth of next March in Denver and revive About fifteen concerts in American and Canadian cities until April 22 (April).
However, these appointments were also canceled because the recovery of the Canadian singer, who suffers from “severe and permanent muscle spasms” that prevent her from going on stage, “is taking longer than expected,” according to her team, in a statement.
Celine Dion performed the first 52 shows of the tour before the pandemic began in March 2020. There has been no change in concert dates for Courage’s European Tour, which is scheduled to begin on May 25 in Birmingham, UK.
“I will be very happy when I recover and the pandemic is behind us and I will be back on stage once more,” the 53-year-old said.
