Celine Dion accuses Donald Trump of using “My Heart Will Go On” without permission

In a message posted on X (Twitter) on August 10, the singer’s management team and her record label state that the use of what was the central theme of the film Titanic “is not authorized in any way”.

“Céline Dion’s management team and her record label, Sony Music Entertainment Canada Inc., have been made aware of the unauthorized use of the video, recording, musical performance and likeness of Céline Dion singing My Heart Will Go On in a Donald Trump campaign rally / JD Vance (his running mate) in Montana,” the message says.

“This use is in no way authorized and Celine Dion does not endorse this or any similar use. …And really, THAT song?” the artist’s team asks, referring to that song, winner of an Oscar and a Golden Globeand identified with the tragedy of the sinking of the Titanic.

Other artists complain
