The Open Community Artistic Practices Festival (LA PACA 2022), which takes place on February 26 in the Madrid neighborhood of Tetuán, invites the public and, in particular, residents of the area to share a morning of reflection and enjoyment around paper of art in our societies, and to celebrate the community art processes that take place in the neighbourhoods. The event, open and free (previous registration here, will be at Nave María (Travesía de Bellver, 2) from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and includes presentations, musical performances, talks and conversations, popular food and beers.
Organized by La Revolución de las Emociones and the performing arts and social innovation company Kubbo, the first edition of LA PACA kicks off this year by exploring what is happening in the Tetuán neighborhood, as a starting point to celebrate and vindicate the value of art as a form of understanding, building and caring for each other in community.

To this end, the conference offers a program with presentations of experiences of community artistic processes, such as the collaborative photographic project I am putting Green on you, the Memento neighborhood mediation art project, the La Huerta de Tetuán neighborhood community space, the social movement denouncing inaction in the face of the climate crisis Extinction Rebellion, Madrid and the collaborative public art and cyberfeminism project El beso, by Toxic Lesbian.
Opinions will be discussed and shared around Community Art in different round tables, in which Jazmín Beirak, Art Historian and researcher in cultural policies, María Suárez Riera, director of the Nadine Foundation, and Elsa Arnaiz, director of Talent for the future, among others.
The musical performances will be performed by performers who are also closely linked to the neighborhood, such as the Acción por la Música community orchestra, the Tetouan Soulful Voices Gospel Choir and the Enredaswing community swing dance group. Finally, popular food and beers will be served by the hostess of the event, Nave María.
