The leaders of the Economic and Social Councils ⁢(CESE)⁤ from Côte d’Ivoire, Congo, Morocco, ​Luxembourg, and Gabon posed for a photo with​ Vice-President of the Transition, ⁣Joseph Owandault Berre, following ​their meeting.

During the audience on September ⁢4, 2024, the presidents of⁢ the Economic and Social Councils⁢ from Côte d’Ivoire and Congo, along with ⁤the secretaries general from Morocco and ‌Luxembourg, expressed their satisfaction with the progress of the Gabonese transition.

“The leaders⁣ jointly acknowledged the positive developments in Gabon ‍following the Liberation Coup of⁢ August⁢ 30, 2023. They noted that the country is making strides towards economic diversification aimed at poverty ⁤reduction,” as noted in the communication from the vice-presidency.

Dr. Séraphin Moundounga, president‍ of the ‌Economic, Social, ⁣and Environmental Council (CESE), introduced the guests to the Vice-President of the Transition. He‍ opened the work of the second ordinary⁣ session of the Council, emphasizing its vital role in national governance. With over 60 years of service, ‍the ⁣institution encompasses diverse societal components and provides essential opinions that support decision-making processes.

During the meeting, the Vice-President highlighted ‌that the governance approach of Gabon’s new authorities, led by President of the Transition General Brice Clotaire ‌Oligui Nguema, ‌focuses on prioritizing social issues, enhancing living ​conditions for the⁤ population, ‌combating the‌ high cost of living, and ensuring peace‍ and security for all citizens.

Additionally, the Vice-President of the National Assembly of Cameroon, ​Hilarion Etong, who also serves‌ as President of the Parliament ⁢of​ the Francophonie, was‍ received by the Vice-President ​before ⁤concluding his visit ​to ‌Libreville.
