Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the United Arab Emirates, issued an order for the release of foreign prisoners.
The Vice President issued an order to release 472 foreigners in celebration of the UAE’s 49th National Day.
Dubai Public Prosecutor Hussam Al Hamidan said that after being released from prison, the prisoners will be able to become a part of the society and live like ordinary people.
He said that during imprisonment, the accused were trained to do positive work in the society and become good citizens.
He said that this release is being done on the basis of principles of tolerance for which the Public Prosecution has settled all the matters in collaboration with Dubai Police and related institutions.
It should be noted that on November 24, the President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan issued an order to release 628 prisoners in connection with the 49th National Day.
The President directed the government to pay the fines imposed on the prisoners while he also issued an order to waive the fines of the prisoners with minor fines.
The aim of this initiative of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan is to provide a chance for a new life to the prisoners so that the suffering of their relatives and loved ones can be eased.
The released prisoners are given an opportunity to lead a new and better life so that they can play a positive role in the society and prove useful to their families and society.
The pardon and release of prisoners is part of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed’s commitment to family harmony, bringing joy to families and giving pardoned prisoners a chance to build a better future.
It should be noted that the 49th National Day of the United Arab Emirates will be celebrated with national enthusiasm on December 2.
The UAE government has announced a three-day public holiday from December 1st to December 3rd in commemoration of the country’s National Day and Martyrs’ Day.
December 1st is Tuesday, December 2nd is Wednesday and December 3rd is Thursday while Friday is the weekly holiday in the Emirates. Government offices will open on Sunday, December 6 after a five-day holiday.
It should be remembered that on December 2, 1971, the union of the 7 states of Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Fujairah, Umm Al Quwain and Ras Al Khaimah was announced in the United Arab Emirates.
