This Thursday, August 8th, at 18:00 hours, at the Museum of History and Contemporary Art El Palacio de los Gurza, there will be a presentation of the digital book: “An Actress, a Star, and a Supportive Companion: Dolores del Río,” authored by Ana Salinas Alverdi and Jehiely Hernández Correa.

With free admission for the public, the authors and researchers from the National Institute of Historical Studies of the Revolutions of Mexico (INEHRM) will share how to download the text for free, details of its content, as well as the anecdotes they had to navigate to create the text.

In five chapters, annexes, and consulted sources, the authors provide a detailed and chronological journey through the life and work of the internationally recognized actress, Dolores del Río, highlighting a complete chapter on another lesser-explored aspect of the artist titled: A Union Woman (ANDA) and Defender of Mexican Culture, 1960-1980, where they address Dolores del Río’s public presence at the national and international levels.

The text was edited by the National Institute of Historical Studies of the Revolutions of Mexico (INEHRM), an institution of the Ministry of Culture of the Government of Mexico and the Institute of Culture of the State of Durango (ICED).

It is worth noting that this activity is part of the second edition of the Dolores del Río Mexican Film Festival, organized by the Institute of Culture of the State of Durango (ICED), which once again pays tribute to the acclaimed actress Dolores del Río.
