WELCOMING their nine years in the Indonesian music industry, Bian Gindas released their latest single entitled Cinta Biru.
This single is special because it was launched to coincide with Bian Gindas’ 9th birthday, making it a very memorable moment for them.
“This song is quite memorable, because it was released when Bian Gindas was exactly 9 years old. This song is his 19th single, which hopefully will bring good luck to Bian Gindas in the future,” said Bian.
Cinta Biru offers something different from their previous works but still maintains Bian Gindas’ distinctive character.
Interestingly, the inspiration came from old poems that describe a person’s feelings for their partner in poetic and profound language.
“This song is inspired by old poems that describe a person’s feelings for their partner, using poetic figures of speech that are probably rarely heard today. This is an expression of love from a person to their partner,” said Bian.

In terms of musicality, Cinta Biru still carries Bian Gindas’ distinctive style, but with a more mature feel.
“There aren’t many changes actually, it’s still BianGindas style, but with more mature music. Simple musical ornaments, and more emphasis on the content of the song’s lyrics,” said Bian.
What makes it even more interesting is that Cinta Biru’s musical arrangement is presented with a distinctive keroncong touch, a beat that invites you to dance, and Bian’s vocal character that remains prominent.

“The arrangement is still the same as usual, there are a few keroncong elements, a bouncy beat, and Bian’s vocal character is still prominent. Maybe this time the music is a bit simpler than usual, because we want to highlight the lyrics of the song,” explained Bian.
Not only that, the lyrics are also a prominent side of this song. Because it is inspired by old poems, the lyrics in this song feel quite poetic but also sound straightforward.
“This song has poetic but straightforward and simple lyrics. There are no pleasantries, but instead it strengthens the content and meaning of the song,” said Bian.

Actually, there was almost no difficulty in making this song. It’s just that the process of making the video clip is quite draining.
“The difficulty was probably during the making of the video clip. The story is simple, but quite tiring because it was made in the middle of a real market, not an artificial market. Where it took the real market atmosphere without any setting, and combined with the story from the concept of the song Cinta Biru. It was quite draining, especially for Reza as the director,” said Bian.
