Celebrating 163 New Retirees: A Tribute to Commitment and Dedication

The Panhellenic Union of Retired Teachers of Achaia, through its announcement, states the following:

The one-year-old Achaia Branch of the Panhellenic Union of Retired Teachers (P.E.S.E.K.) welcomes new retirees to Achaia. A difficult professional career in public schools came to an end, often with the quadruple role of the modern educational officer: Teaching knowledge, endless clerical work, educational promotion of personal and collective education, participation in collective struggles for public school and dignity of teachers.

Unfortunately, the problems don’t stop with retirement. Procedures often insurmountable for granting our reduced multiple pensions, new pension problems, problems with the public health system (medical, nursing, pharmaceutical). United and cooperating with all pensioners’ agencies, on the one hand we will defend conquests and claim fair demands, and on the other hand we will maintain our pedagogical role in many creative ways and our coherence as educational officers.

Our retirement is not decommissioning, but a new period of free creation, assembly and collective struggle.

During this year’s retirement, we would like to inform you that according to branches and specialities, the new pensioners from Achaia are 163 (101 in the second-level education and 62 in the first-level education).

In more detail:

A) Grade A: Teachers and specialties 62:
