Here are several exciting events happening on Monday, Nov. 11.

Austin Veterans Day Parade + Memorial Ceremony | 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. | Texas State Capitol | Free | Experience the vibrant atmosphere of the parade as it winds along Congress Avenue, concluding with a poignant memorial ceremony that pays respect to the courageous men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.
Veterans Day Celebration | 11 a.m. | Old Settlers Park, Round Rock | Free | Join the formal ceremony dedicated to honoring veterans, featuring uplifting live music by Austin singer Michaela Watson, as well as delicious refreshments for attendees.
Veterans Day Ceremony | 10 a.m. | Veterans Park, Leander | Free | Be part of a special ceremony that recognizes both current military personnel and veterans, which will include a Presentation of Colors and keynote speeches that inspire and reflect on the importance of their service.
Food specials
CARVE American Grille, multiple locations | Veterans can enjoy a free 8-ounce smoked strip + mashed potatoes from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. with the purchase of an entree, along with a special three-course military menu available from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Reservations and military ID are required to take advantage of this delicious offer.
Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille, multiple locations | Show your military ID to receive a complimentary 32-ounce pork chop with the purchase of a dinner entree. Additionally, enjoy a specially curated three-course military menu served from 4 p.m. until closing time, designed to honor those who’ve served.
Whataburger, multiple locations | The beloved Texas burger chain is “serving coffee for those who served” every day for the rest of the year starting on Monday, Nov. 11. Veterans can enjoy a complimentary 16-ounce hot or iced coffee when presenting their military ID or while in uniform, as a token of appreciation for their service.
