Asunción, IP Agency.- The head of the Alliance for Ibero-America Business Council (Ceapi), Nuria Vilanova, highlighted the competitive advantages that the country has. In that context, she spoke of the million-dollar investment that the Mexican company Bimbo plans to make, “to turn Paraguay not only into a production center, but also into a hub for the region.”
As a result of the tour undertaken by the President of the Republic, Santiago Peña, through Spain and the efforts of Ceapi, businessmen from that country and Latin America came to learn first-hand regarding the investment opportunities that Paraguay offers.
To such effect, the president received this Monday at Mburuvicha Róga, Nuria Vilanova and entrepreneurs of various fields. The head of Ceapi noted that this visit is to give continuity to the tour undertaken by the head of state to Spain, which contributed to Paraguay ceasing to be one of the best kept secrets.
“After that tour by Peña, Spanish businessmen and also Ibero-American businessmen are aware of the word opportunity,” he said.
Likewise, he highlighted the confidence, stability and opportunity that Paraguay projects towards the world, which encourages more Spanish investments to reach the country.
Millionaire investment by a Mexican company
Bimbo has also accompanied us, a Mexican company that has announced a very important investment in the country and its objective of turning it into a hub for the region, reinforcing the factory with an investment of 30 million dollars to turn Paraguay not only into a center of production, but in a hub for the region, he detailed.
“For example, we are not talking regarding a company, we are talking regarding the 11 Foundation in Spain, made up of 71,000 people with disabilities, many of them blind, who have found, thanks to this association, a possibility of a decent job,” he indicated.
Along the same lines, he mentioned that this Foundation 11 is already established in the country and what it intends, through a responsible game of chance, to allocate 25 percent of the resources to impact these groups that will have the opportunity to join with dignity to the labor market.
Paraguay is a country where you should invest
He insisted that Paraguay has something very important at this moment and transmits stability and confidence. On the same point, he stated that Paraguay is a country where you can not only invest, “but you should.”
“You have that image of stability and decision to have a positive impact, that currency that does not lose zeros, something that does not happen in the world, that growth and those great natural, human and energy resources that really make the interest, we are seeing as it is already materializing,” he expressed.
Vilanova added that, from Ceapi, they want to help put the focus on Paraguay, to be a speaker so that the world knows more regarding this great opportunity that investing in the country represents, since creating this ideal business climate is due to the vision of the Government to create employment and reach all levels of the population.
Ceapi is made up of more than 300 businessmen from Latin America, many of them who already have a presence in the country, including Mapfre, IDOM, Abengoa, Strom Engineering, among others. The idea, as he mentioned, is to turn Paraguay not only into a production center for the country, but also into a hub for the region.
The delegation was made up of businessmen from various fields, such as the food, energy, technological development, and others sectors.
