CdMx. Cinemex staff accused of transphobia

A user of social networks accused having been a victim of transphobia inside a Cinemex, in Mexico City, for which received a response from the capital prosecutor’s office.

On Twitter, the user Lo Coletti (@ColettiLo) explained that an employee of the cinema, in the commercial plaza Reforma 222, went into the bathroom “and called us ‘gentlemen,'” later He asked her to get out of it.

“We just went through an attack of transphobia in @Cinemex of (Reform) 222. They kicked us out of the women’s bathroom. An employee of the cinema came in and called us ‘gentlemen’ and asked us to get out of the bathroom because there were people with their children,” he wrote.

In the same way, the Mexico City Attorney General’s Office regretted what happened and indicated that they would support it.

“Good followingnoon, we are sorry for what happened, might you follow us to provide care? Thank you, we will support you,” the agency wrote.

So far, Cinemex has not set a position on the matter.
