For the first time in history, an African team reached the semi-finals of the World Cup in this 2022 edition: Morocco. After the defeat against Croatia (1-2) this Saturday on the occasion of the small final, the coach of the Atlas Lions, Walid Regragui, predicted a bright future for the teams of the continent.
“We managed to make a few kids dream of becoming professional footballers. That, that’s priceless, the technician first pointed out to the media. We are not building this DNA just for Morocco, but for the continent.”
With their formidable pope, the Atlas Lions will have made the whole of Africa proud.
