The Customs and Border Protection Office (CBP) confirmed to Noticias Telemundo 40 that the decision had been made to make changes in leadership seeking to continue complying with all required standards.

This after the tragedy in which a child under the age of 8 died in the custody of border agents in one of the migrant centers in Harlingen.
