Award-winning screenwriter Emma Reeves, known for her work on “The Worst Witch” and “Eve,” adapts Kaye’s popular stories for the screen, while director Matthias Hoene (“Theodesia”) brings his unique vision to the project.
Filming takes place in Glasgow and Edinburgh. The series is produced by Black Camel Pictures, known for their hit series “Annika” (UKTV/PBS), “Float” (BBC), and “The Island” (BBC). Co-producing alongside Black Camel is Media Valley, an animation studio behind the acclaimed *”Zoom the White Dolphin”.
“Gifted” is a truly international production, co-produced with NDR/ARD in Germany. Studio 100 International will handle global distribution, ensuring audiences worldwide can experience this exciting new series.
“Gifted is scheduled to premiere on BBC iPlayer in the UK at the end of 2025, with a global rollout planned for Spring 2026.
