The second store of Canada’s LCBO monopoly for the Greek wines opened its doors in Mississauga, Ontario on October 24, 2023, under the name Destination Collection Greece.
The Canadian monopoly LCBO is the world’s largest importer of spirits with a turnover of 5.5 billion.

The Managing Director of the companies, Yannis Anastasiou, attended the opening of the store, together with government officials, the presidents of EDOAO and Enterprise Greece, as well as other producers.
At the Walk around tasting organized by Interprofessional Vine and Wine, on October 24 in Toronto, which was attended by the President and CEO of the LCBO, Mr. Giorgos Soleas as well as top LCBO executives, the Greek producers presented their wines to journalists and professionals, sommeliers, F&B and buyers.
“It is very important for our country to acquire a place to display and market its wines, in such an important market as Canada’s LCBO monopoly. This enables us Greek producers to “reveal” the dynamics of the Greek vineyard, but also the possibilities of producing quality wines. At Cavino and also at the Mega Cave Estate, from the very beginning we have entered into strategic partnerships with Canada and for over a decade we have been exporting a wide range of wines that have become known not only to Greeks abroad, but also to Canadians,” said Mr. Yannis Anastasiou.
