As you can read in the last few days, there will be a mountain bike trail on the Heuberg very soon. Since I am fundamentally in favor of supporting any exercise in the fresh air, I applaud it! And yet my applause remains very restrained, because: Wasn’t a piece of forest in the Josefiau “taken” from the children and young people not so long ago? Used in a harmless way for wild cycling for big and small? Starting with putting tree trunks in the way, up to the total end, without even the slightest support from politics, in order to be allowed to exist.
Words like nature conservation and danger were used – which of course is completely different a few kilometers away. Anyone can understand. We should be glad that these children who were expelled back then probably don’t (yet) read the newspaper – otherwise we would have to put up with the question: Are you not quite close?
