Some people suffer from severe hand pain and may last for a few days, causing some health complications to appear, and thus discomfort and fear of negative development.
In the following report, the “Consulto” reviews the causes of pain in the hands and their impact on the body, according to the “Webmd” website.
Causes of hand pain
1- Osteoporosis
Osteoarthritis usually occurs as a result of injury or erosion of the smooth substance called cartilage, and thus the body begins to swell, increase pain and difficulty moving, so care must be taken to consult a doctor and practice hand exercises to relieve symptoms.

2- Rheumatoid arthritis
Arthritis affects the cells that help lubricate the joints, which leads to the erosion of cartilage and bone, and this inflammation can spread to the tendons that connect the bones to the muscles, so you should consult a specialist and get steroid injections and surgery in rare cases.

3- Fractures
In the case of a fracture of one or more bones, this can cause swelling and difficulty moving, and can often be treated with a cast and more serious fractures need surgery, so you should avoid neglecting any pain a person feels.

4- sprain
Ligament ruptures are one of the most common problems that people suffer from, which directly affects the thumb joint or the middle joints of the fingers, so it is preferable to consult a specialist and take care of the palm of the hand for a few days and avoid lifting heavy objects in order to avoid pain and swelling that can occur.
5- Gout
Many gout sufferers suffer from hand pain as a result of excess uric acid in the body, where the pain starts from the toes, so continuous follow-up with the specialist and getting adequate rest, in addition to taking medications in their specified doses, exercising, and following a healthy diet .
