Causes of chest thrush – a doctor explains the most prominent diseases that it reveals

Most people feel very anxious when experiencing chest pains, fearing that they may be a warning sign of a range of diseases.

When do chest thumps require a visit to the doctor?

In this regard, Dr. Hussein Wagdy, a chest diseases consultant, said that chest thrush is one of the symptoms that warrant a visit to a doctor immediately, especially if it is accompanied by the following problems:

Chest cravings for more than a week.

– hard breathing.

– Arrhythmia.

Pain in the neck, arms, or abdomen.

Nausea.

Vomiting.

Causes of chest ache

Wagdy explained that chest thumps may warn of some respiratory diseases, most notably:

– Inflammation of the pleura.

Asthma.

Pulmonary edema.

Lung embolism.

Pulmonary embolism.

He added that chest thumps are not necessarily caused by a problem in the respiratory system only, noting that they may also indicate other diseases, including:

Rheumatic fever.

GERD

Hiatal hernia.

Heart clots.

– Hypertension.

– Ulcers.

Some mental disorders, such as panic.

The chest diseases consultant indicated that chest thrush is a long-term symptom of corona following recovery, and the reason is due to the negative effects that Covid-19 infection had on the respiratory system, including the lungs.

Tips to prevent a chest twitch

He stressed that chest impingement can be easily prevented by following a healthy lifestyle, which includes a set of guidelines, the most important of which are:

– Eat a healthy diet.

Regular exercise daily.

Quit smoking completely and stay away from smokers.

– Avoid alcohol.
