Cathy didn’t expect this when she ordered her burger via UberEats (pictured)

Hungover, Cathy, a 25-year-old Englishwoman, and her boyfriend Craig, decide to cure the disease with fat by ordering two menus at McDonald’s via UberEats. But once the burger is taken out of its packaging and cut in half, to share, it is disillusionment…

A giant and “hairy” insect was dead inside, as shown by the Sun. A moth, according to her. The disgusted couple decided to throw the entire meal in the trash. “Honestly, I felt sick. How did the staff not notice? The worst thing is that we asked for changes for our burgers so they should have been made on the spot. I am truly outraged,” she said.

The couple filed a complaint and were reimbursed by McDonald’s.

For his part, the spokesperson for McDonald’s UK explains: “Food safety is of the utmost importance to us. We place great importance on quality control, following exacting standards to avoid any imperfection, so we are sorry to hear of this customer’s experience. As soon as this was brought to the attention of the restaurant, the customer was offered a full refund. We encourage the customer to contact our customer service team so that we can investigate further. »
