Minnesota Vikings have requested interview with Catherine Raiche for their GM role

The Minnesota Vikings have requested an interview with Philadelphia Eagles vice president of football operations Catherine Raiche about their vacant general manager position.

According to NFL Network‘s Mike Garafolo, the Vikings’ application is believed to be a woman’s very first application, for the GM position, in NFL history.

Raiche was promoted to her current role of vice president of football operations with the Eagles in May 2021. This is the same role current Cleveland Browns general manager Andrew Berry previously held in Philadelphia.

Raiche’s rise in the NFL was swift, following previous stints in the Canadian Football League and the XFL. A native of Montreal, Raiche was the Football Administration Coordinator for the Montreal Alouettes from 2015 to 2017, before becoming the team’s assistant general manager in 2017.

Raiche spent 2018 with the Toronto Argonauts as Director of Football Administration. She then briefly served as Director of Football Operations for the Tampa Bay Vipers in the XFL, before joining the Eagles in 2019 initially as Football Operations / Player Staff Coordinator.
