A serious road accident involving two motorcyclists occurred last Tuesday around 8:30 p.m. on the R8 near Kuurne and Heule, in the north of the country. The two people on the handlebars of their machine collided at full speed on the road.
One of them hit the railing of the roadway before being thrown a hundred meters from the accident. The second biker was reported missing, Het Nieuwsblad reported. The latter fled following the collision, before being found at his home by the police the next day.
The vital prognosis of the first biker was initially engaged. We learn this morning that Niko, the 45-year-old victim from Izegem, succumbed to his injuries over the weekend.
