Catalina Usme: Colombian Women’s Soccer Star Moves to Club Pachuca in Mexico

Catalina Usme has undoubtedly been one of the best players that women’s soccer has had in recent years, as her experience and quality have made her a reference in America and in the Colombian women’s national team.

The 34-year-old midfielder has always played in Colombian soccer and it was in America where she has played the most matches in the Women’s League, since since this category became professional in 2017, the ten has played in all editions with the scarlets.

However, her story with America would be about to end, as it was announced that Catalina Usme would end the contractual relationship and would take suitcases to have her first experience outside the country.

The club from abroad that would be looking for Usme is Club Pachuca from Mexico, a team from the Liga MX Femenil, one of the most stable competitions in Central America.

Likewise, according to journalist Carolina Rubio, América will have a percentage left for the transfer to all the gophers.

For now, neither América nor Catalina Usme have made the separation known, but if it happens, it would be a dream come true for the midfielder, who with a lot of love has remained in Colombia, but the lack of stability of a professional Women’s League would be one of the great reasons.

It should be remembered that Usme was one of the great figures of the Colombian women’s team in the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, managing to score two goals in that World Cup event.
