The destruction of the Nova Kakhova dam in Ukraine caused a spike in wheat prices raising fears of a return to the situation of 2022, dose horribilis for the yellow cereal, during which the armies of Vladimir Putin had successively invaded Ukraine, “breadbasket of the world” and, a few months later, historic droughts, decimating thousands of tons of crops in Europe, Canada and India.
