Missing Child Case from Kazakutan: A 13-year-old girl who went missing from Kazakutan in Thiruvananthapuram district on Tuesday and was later found in Visakhapatnam has been brought home. The girl will be transferred to CWC’s shelter home. The boy returned this evening with the Special Investigations Team.
The 13-year-old girl was found in Visakhapatnam 37 hours after she went missing. The child was discovered by representatives of the Visakhapatnam Malayalam Association. The child was found on the Tambaram Express. Malayali representatives found the boy lying on the berth and took him to Visakhapatnam.
The child was found on a train bound for Assam and is under the protection of the Rwandan Patriotic Front in Visakhapatnam. The boy left his rented house in Kazakutam on Tuesday after an argument with his mother and tried to take a train to his native Assam. The child’s wish was to come to Assam and continue his studies with his grandfather and grandmother.
The boy also revealed that he ran away from home due to harassment at home. Malaali Samajam staff informed that the child is enjoying himself at Visakhavalli Child Care Centre. Meanwhile, the parents of the 13-year-old girl responded that they were grateful to the people of Kerala and the police for helping them find their daughter.
Tasmeet Tamsi is the daughter of Anwar Hussain, a native of Assam, and lives near the Kazakutan block office. The boy went missing around 10am on Tuesday. At around 4 p.m., the parents reported the incident to the police. Subsequently, the police launched an investigation after reviewing the CCTV footage.
