The District and Sessions Court of Islamabad rejected the request for further physical remand of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Information Secretary Rauf Hassan and other accused and sent them to judicial remand in a case registered under the PICA Act.

PTI leader’s lawyer Senator Ali Zafar, Ali Bukhari and others appeared while Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) prosecutor Sheikh Amir appeared before the court.

The FIA prosecutor requested for a further 5-day physical remand of Rauf Hasan, while the Magistrate of the special court under PICA Act, Shabbir Bhatti, rejected the request for further physical remand of Rauf Hasan and sent him to jail on judicial remand.
On the request of the PTI lawyer, the court allowed the medical check-up of Rauf Hasan.
