“CASA’s New Show ‘Behind the Scenes’: A Peek into the Lives of Renovation Experts”

2023-05-20 15:00:00

Embarking on a renovation project can be disastrous for a couple. Imagine consuming design full-time with your partner. This is what Émilie Cerretti and her husband, Stéphane Larente, do, who will co-host the new CASA Behind the scenes starting May 22.

For them, it’s going well, and you can feel their passion for their work from the first minutes. We follow the couple at work, but also at home and in their own renovations at their chalet in the Laurentians. Stéphane has three daughters and Émilie has two, so there is a lot of action in the Cerretti-Larente household.

In the first episode, Émilie and Stéphane visit clients in Saint-Sulpice, in Lanaudière, to help them design a few rooms for their self-build project, including the entrance, the office and the bedroom. .

Émilie and Stéphane rake wide, because they are then found in Candiac, in Montérégie, with the parents of three boys who wish to renovate two bathrooms.

In Léry, in Montérégie, horror, the contractor in charge of building the architect’s house for a couple botched his job and, four years later, water connection work in the bathroom of the master bedroom are still not finished. Cabinetmaking errors must also be corrected in the kitchen, in short there is a glaring lack of finish. Émilie and Stéphane are called to the rescue.

You can identify with their clients, because they tell the camera about their renovation projects and you get to know them a bit. They tell us what they are looking to improve at home. For those who love decoration and renovation, the show is interesting: we see plans, materials, and we explain the different options available to people.

Émilie and Stéphane are supported in their business by Sonia Bernier and Valérie Lacroix, who complete their team. The two collaborators take care of the plans, 3D sketches and mood boards to guide customers in their choices.

As we know, it’s never easy to decide when you find yourself in front of dozens of samples. The investment is important and we will live a long time with the final result. Émilie and Stéphane must let their clients “sleep on it” before deciding.

We really enter the personal lives of the two entrepreneurs, with a little touch of documentary. We are thus witnessing the birthday of Émilie and her “baby” Camilia, 18, as well as the wedding anniversary of the parents of Stéphane, Janine and Pierre, who have been together for 53 years. This party takes place at Émilie and Stéphane’s chalet in Sainte-Anne-des-Lacs, where the lovebirds take the opportunity to change the exterior covering.

Produced by Trio Orange, in collaboration with Quebecor Content, the show Behind the scenes will be broadcast on CASA starting Monday, May 22 at 8:30 p.m.
