The Casablanca Stock Exchange tipped into the red on Thursday at the close, its benchmark index, the MASI, having fallen by 0.29% to 10,746.37 points (pts).

The MASI.20, an index comprising the 20 most liquid stocks, fell by 0.33%, to 868.55 pts and the MASI.ESG, an index of companies with the best ESG ratings, as published by Moody’s ESG Solutions , lost 0.25%, to 802.24 pts. Regarding the MASI Mid and Small Cap, thematic index which calculates the performance of the prices of small and medium-sized companies listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange, it dropped 0.06%, to 880.23 pts.

On the international side, the FTSE CSE Morocco 15, made up of the 15 main securities of the Casablanca Stock Exchange, classified by market capitalization, and the FTSE CSE Morocco All-Liquid, a benchmark index which traces the performance of all the liquid securities of the Stock Exchange , fell respectively by 0.2%, to 9,861.28 pts and 0.25%, to 8,928.56 pts. At the sector level, the leisure and hotel sector recorded the strongest increase (+2.57%), followed by that of beverages (+2.43%), and the health sector (+1.52%). ). Conversely, the pharmaceutical index posted the largest drop (-3.65%), followed by the oil and gas index (-1.29%), and the building and materials index. construction (-1.24%).

The overall volume of trade was 76.25 million dirhams (MDH) made mainly on the Central Market (Shares), and dominated by transactions relating to Label Vie which brought 13.32 million dirhams (MDH), Cdm with 13.02 MDH and Managem with 7.38 MDH. Market capitalization exceeded 556.5 billion dirhams.

As for values, Sothema (-4.08% to 1,200 dirhams (DH)), Stokvis North Africa (-3.3% to 11.15 DH), Ennakl (-2.46% to 34.51 DH), Microdata (-2.34% to 496 DH) and Afriquia Gaz (-2.32% to 4,005 DH) recorded the biggest drops. Conversely, the highest increases were made by Société des Boissons du Maroc (+3.08% to 2,680 DH), Minière Touissit (+2.84% to 1,666 DH), Risma (+2.57% to 153.9 DH), Disty Technologies (+2.45% to 204.9 DH) and Bank of Africa (+1.83% to 167 DH).
