The Director General of the Casablanca-Settat Regional Investment Center (CRI-CS), Salmane Belayachi, indicated last week that the results of the activities of the CRI-CS for the year 2022 are growing, reinforced by indicators performance in continuous improvement.

The report of the CRI-CS reports 261 investment projects which have been approved, totaling an investment of 55.3 billion dirhams, this is what emerges from the 8th meeting of the Board of Directors chaired by the Wali of the Casablanca-Settat region, indicates a press release from the CRI-CS, noting that the Unified Regional Investment Commission (CRUI) held 70 meetings relating to the examination of 360 investment files.

These projects should contribute to the creation of more than 23,136 direct jobs, the statement said, stressing that the sectoral analysis of approved projects shows a predominance of industry with 47% of projects, followed by tourism with 17%. In terms of territorial distribution of the projects examined favorably, 23% of them fall under the province of Berrechid, while the provinces of Benslimane and El Jadida represent 18% each, Casablanca comes in 3rd position with 14%, followed by the province of Mohammedia with 8% of the projects, adds the same source.

Regarding the most frequent administrative procedures, requests for environmental acceptability rank first, followed by requests for the allocation of lots in industrial zones and economic activity zones as well as requests for classification of exploitation. tourist establishments.

On this occasion, the members of the Board of Directors noted with great satisfaction the positive dynamic in which the CRI-CS is part, through an approach that puts the investor at the heart of its continuous improvement and satisfaction process. client.

According to the CRI-CS, all of the files submitted by investors have been processed and investigated with a decision being taken by the CRUI within 5.5 days, noting that this service is well below the legal deadline of 60 Days, which represents clear proof of the efforts and commitment made since the entry into force of the reform of the CRIs.

The CRI-CS has placed the mission of supporting VSMEs at the heart of its priorities. Indeed, it has strengthened its QIMAM phygital counter, explains the document, affirming that this approach has made it possible to support more than 1,000 companies and project leaders in a direct way throughout the territory of the region.
